TIPS

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR BRUSHES

When was the last time you used your make up tools? Most women would say this morning. But a more important question is: when was the last time you cleaned them? Think about all that built up makeup, dead skin cells, skin oils, and bacteria. Gross! It may be time to spring clean your tools!
Makeup brushes: If you use reusable makeup brushes for blush or powder, you should be cleaning them of build up. Not only will they be cleaner, they’ll also be softer, as makeup buildup tends to make brushes scratchy. Grab a bar of soap or a bottle of shampoo and put some into your palm. Wet the brush, then swirl it around in the soap. Continue to swirl it for about thirty seconds, then rinse with hot water. Wrap a clean, cotton cloth around the brush and squeeze until it is mostly dry.
Makeup wands: If you reuse your eye-shadow makeup sponge wands, then make sure to clean them often too. You can take a little hand soap and water and rub the head of the sponge between your fingers. Rinse, then lay out on a paper towel to dry.Hair brushes: Using scissors and tweezers, remove all of the hair you can from your brush, then rub it down with shampoo and rinse. A clean brush will make your hair happier and brushing easier!

Soak your feet in honey:
This is an all-natural soak that will work wonders on dead skin on the feet… or anywhere. Soak your feet for 10 – 15 minutes in a solution of 1 cup honey and 1 gallon warm water for softer, more moisturized tootsies. (Honey has tons of amazing uses!!)
